Race Card Politics, Part 2, NAACP Calls Tea Party Movement “Racist”

Once again, the old tired “race card” is being played once again. At the annual NAACP convention in Kansas, City, MO, a plan to call the grass-roots based movement, the tea party movement “racist” and to stand against the movement’s attempt to “push our country back to the pre-civil rights era”.

What gets me very offended as well as hurt is that the NAACP is attacking a grass-roots organization which WELCOMES ALL AMERICANS OF ALL DIFFERENT BACKROUNDS, who believe that the government on all levels, federal, state, county, and local on the issues of out-of-control spending and out-of-control government regulations.

From the FoxNews website:”A Tea Party group in Missouri, reacting to the NAACP’s plan to take up a resolution branding the conservative movement as “racist,” has drafted a resolution of its own condemning the civil rights group for reducing itself to a “bigoted” and “partisan attack dog organization.”

Also:”In a matter of hours, the St. Louis group drafted and fired off to the NAACP a resolution demanding the organization withdraw its “bigoted, false and inflammatory” statement. The missive accused the NAACP of resorting to political tactics and urged the IRS to reconsider whether it can continue to qualify for tax-exempt status.

Tea Party organizers routinely defend themselves against charges of racism, disavowing racially charged signs that appear in their protest crowds and provide fodder for Tea Party critics. The NAACP resolution, first reported by the Kansas City Star, was expected to make reference to an incident in March when Tea Party protesters allegedly hurled racial epithets at black lawmakers on Capitol Hill ahead of a health care vote. Tea Party members afterward challenged that account and no evidence was produced to show any racist attacks.

St. Louis Tea Party organizer Bill Hennessy wrote on the group’s website Tuesday that the Tea Party stands for smaller government and fiscal responsibility, and accused the NAACP of abandoning black America. “When you look at the crime and poverty and family breakdown of the African-American community … you see a half-century of failure by the NAACP,” he wrote. “None of those persistent problems was caused by the Tea Party movement, yet the principles of the Tea Party are exactly what’s needed to wind down the multi-generational destruction in the African-American community.”

When I went to the most recent tea party rally in Hartford on July 4, 2010, Independence Day, at the Connecticut State Capitol, I had heard a speech given by a man of African-American heritage. It was his first tea party speech, he was a bit nervous, that was to be expected. But yet, he did a GREAT JOB presenting the reality of the CONSERVATIVE SIDE of the African-American community and the reality that the Democrats have simply taken for granted their support and have not offered opportunities to allow for this community to better themselves and the historic support from the Republican side in the areas of both the ending of slavery and of the civil rights movement. Also in his speech, he cited a number of African Americans from the past who were not only conservative and principle Americans, but also part of the Republican party.

With MANY THANKS to both bignatt and YouTube, a video going back to April 15, 2010, which proves that this resolution by the NAACP is misleading, but just plan WRONG. Watch Video Here:

Also a gentleman by the name of Nate Whigham, who had voted for President Barak Obama, but now has “voters remorse” and is now active in the tea party movement. This video is also from April 15, 2010. With MANY THANKS to both secularstupidest and YouTube. Watch Video Here:

Also with MANY THANKS to both LoneRaven01 and YouTube, which also shows that what the NAACP has presented as an accusation about the “tea party movement” is just simply another accusation in the long line of false charges being produced by the left to try to discredit a legit grassroots organization. Watch Video Here:

Also I have a simple question for the NAACP, if this organization is so concerned about issues in regards to racism, why are you not taking a stand against the New Black Panthers or the United States Justice Department in dropping the charges and in not prosecuting “voter intimidation” practices that went on in Philadephia, PA, USA, during the 2008 Presidential elections? With MANY THANKS to both knectburp and YouTube. Watch Video Here:

The TRUTH is that it is the LEFT that is spewing BOTH HATRED and LIES against Americans who are conservative and have principles. Once again, it is the left, which includes the NAACP which is not only using the “race card” to not only discourage Americans who not only love America and is very concerned not only by the course of the direction it is going, but also as a way to “divide and conquer” the United States of America even more.

IMHO, the NAACP quit the playing the “race card” and just like “Tea Party Express” spokesman Levi Russell and by extention, the whole tea party movement, which includes this blog article writer, I, to the NAACP: GROW UP!

  8. The Tea Bag Party are just “haters not debaters” or as others have dubbed them “screamers not dreamers”, with their failed attempts at stopping Healthcare reform, they say they respect the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence but they do not mind passing laws, through weak Governors (no one voted for this crazy) who only cares about getting elected Governor, on the backs of undocumented workers, that will not pass Constitution muster.

    Brewer signed into law;
    1. S.B. 1070,
    2. No permit conceal weapons law,
    3. The famous Birthers law,
    4. Banning Ethnic studies law,
    5. Banning human-animal hybrid (aren’t most GOPers crossed with the Reptilian race?)
or are they just giving Laurence Gonzales, some great promotion material for his new book “Lucy”.

    6. Could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona, ordered to be whiten,
    7. On deck to pass, no citizenship to babies born to undocumented workers,

    8. If she can read she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which was un-constitution and failed when legally challenged),
    9. The boycotted Martin Luther King Day, what idiots don’t want another holiday? Yes, you guessed it Arizona.

Well Arizona, you can boycott new holidays and keep passing crazy laws and the rest of us will continue to challenged them in a court of law and continue to add cities to our Boycott of your state.

I real cannot believe anything that comes out of Brewer’s mouth, in an interview she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (war ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955. But we are suppose to believe everything else she says, right! No one voted for you for Governor, yet you keep listening to the tiny brains of the crazies and signing into law everything that comes into their feeble minds, it only make you look dumb, stupid or racist, or maybe all three.

As for the Tea Bag Party, their phony patriotism is sickening; they are just racists going by another name. We all know you are just itching to put a sheet on their head? Let’s face it the Republicans had eight years to deal with health care, immigration, energy (remember Cheney’s secret meetings with oil companies where loosening regulation and oversight were sealed), climate change and financial oversight and governance and they failed. It appears that the Republican Party is only good at starting wars (two in eight years, with fat contracts to friends of Cheney/Bush) but not at winning wars as seen by the continuing line of body bags that keep coming home. The Republicans party will continue turned inward to their old fashion obstructionist party (and their Confederacy appreciation roots) because they continue to allow a small portions (but very loud portion) of their party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” to rule their party. I will admit that this fringe is very good at playing “Follow the Leader” by listening to their dullard leaders, Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush, Savage, Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and the rest of the Blowhards and acting as ill programmed robots (they have already acted against doctors that perform abortions). Yee Haw!

    • Montana:

Does these two tea party gatherings, one on April 15, 2009 and a much more recent one, on July 4, 2010 on YT videos look racist to you?

With MANY THANKS to PalinSmith and YT.

With MANY THANKS to ameribornnews and YT.

The tea party movement WELCOMES ALL AMERICANS of all backrounds. To buy what the NAACP says is so very sad. It is about FREEDOM, RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT, and PRINCIPLES. The tea party movement is a grass roots movement made up of great American patriots and it is not going away. Plus REMEMBER this, America is a CENTER-RIGHT nation. November 2, 2010 is coming and with it a major house cleaning where politicos who are not governing wisely will be voted out. PUSHBACK has begun.
