Bruins Win First Stanley Cup In 39 Years

“The Bruins blanked Vancouver 4-0 Wednesday night for their first NHL title since 1972. They had lost their last five Stanley Cup finals appearances since then. (June 15)”

So says the brief write-up from the AP video presentation. Not only was history made, but also a major American city, Boston now has become the new title town with the Stanley Cup coming home at last.

Congrats to the NHL’s Boston Bruins for winning at last, after nearly forty years, the Stanley Cup. Boston, now IMHO, the new “title town” sharing with the Boston Red Soxs, Celtics, and the New England Patriots, all having won championships over the course of the past decade.

As it was said, at the end of the deciding game 7, “get the duck boats ready!”, at long last, the Bruins won! To the Vancouver Canucks, thank-you for a good season, may this lost be truly a teaching moment, and best wishes for the new season come in 109 days time. The one regret I do have is that I wish that my late paternal uncle Philip had lived to see what had happened last night. Boston, celebrate your newest champions!

With MANY THANKS To Both AP And YouTube. Watch Video Here:
