Giving Their ALL

Early this morning is when I am blogging this very special blog entry on this Memorial Day 2012.

On this Memorial Day 2012, had the opportunity to both watch and listen to country and western singer Billy Ray Cyrus‘s song about this day, “Some Gave All.”

This song sums up in full why the United States of America on this and each and every Memorial Day as one year passes to another it gives this holiday its full meaning. The man in the song, Sandy Kane, who became the teacher and teaches the lesson of not only being thankful for our liberties but also to say thanks not only to the living veterans but in remembering those who had given all in full.

“All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some gave all.”

In that one paragraph, is what not only gives the full meaning in reflection but a call to honor the heroic sacrifice of those armed forces men and women who died for this country by being an advocate for this nation, the United States of America not only during these very challenging times for this country but also doing all to make sure that the very self-giving sacrifices of this armed forces men and women do not go in vain.

THANK-YOU in SHOUTOUT to those WHO HAD GIVEN THEIR ALL.

“Titanic footage and survivors interviews. On 14 April 1912, on her maiden voyage, the passenger liner RMS Titanic hit an iceberg. More than 1500 men, women and children perished. This is a short television documentary about the sinking of the Titanic, including interviews with survivors talking about their experiences and their escape.”

“Never been seen before! old reel film footage found in Nova Scotia fleamarket. The old film reel was found in a sealed container, in a trunk with the name CS Mackay-Bennett painted on it. The seller said she’d purchased it from an elderly lady whose father had worked on that ship. This footage presumably shows a stateroom or similar in 1st class, prior to the sinking. The film reel has oxidised and corroded in many places, but is still viewable. The final part of the video clip shows a simulation of the Titanic sinking and breaking into two.”

Three Dead From High School Shooting In Ohio Suburb

Yesterday in Chardon, Ohio, USA experienced a violent shooting incident in its high school which left three dead. The shooter, T.J. Lane, was arrested.

“CHARDON, Ohio — It appears that T.J. Lane had violence in his life from the beginning.

Geauga County court records show the father of the teen who authorities say shot five students at Chardon High School on Monday had been arrested many times for violent crimes against women in his life, including Lane’s mother. More than once, police or courts warned him to stay away from the boy and his mother.

Authorities said the teen walked into the high school cafeteria early Monday morning, took out a gun and aimed it at several boys. In the end, three students were seriously wounded and one was killed. A fifth student died early Tuesday. T.J. Lane is to appear in Geauga County Juvenile Court Tuesday.”

A major crime incident like this is truly a sad sign of the times we are living in.
