Until this past Saturday, to be honest, I would not know who Amy Winehouse was to begin with. This is how much out-of-touch I am, which is either a good or bad thing.
With her death on Wednesday, she joins what has been called, the “27 club”, which with singers Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Korban, were of rock/blues singers who died at that age. Could it had been “fear of growing older?”
“Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London. The 27-year-old singer has battled drug and alcohol addiction, but the cause of her death isn’t known. Winehouse shot to fame with the album “Back to Black,” which won five Grammys. (July 23)”
