Over the past few days, I have been learning more about what has been going on the campus of the legendary Penn State University in State College,PA and the much talked about successful college football program under the then forty-six years head coach of Joe, “Papa Joe” Paterno which has seen not just the arrest of a former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky on molestation charges over the duration of fifteen years period. Over the past few days, not only has Mr. Sandusky been arrested, but also Mr. Paterno has also been fired, despite making it clear he was going to retire at the end of the Penn State University football season.
It is also NO SUPRISED that there has been rioting on the campus of Penn State as well, truly a sign that the Penn State University football program had fans, but it has made both the program and Mr. Paterno a god. It seems that the students THOUGHT it was Mr. Paterno who was a VICTIM. The question I have for these students is this: HAVE THEY NOT EVEN THOUGHT OF THE REAL VICTIMS, those children who were abused in the worse way by Mr. Sandusky himself? Their actions of violence speaks volumes of the SAD STATE of the United States of America at this time when no thought of those who had suffered this horrible sexual abuse.

From the ESPN College Football website, Mike McQueary will coach this coming Saturday in the upcoming game against Nebraska:”STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Mike McQueary, one of the central figures in the burgeoning child sex abuse scandal at Penn State, will remain receivers coach Saturday when the Nittany Lions play their final home game of the season.
Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley, who was appointed Penn State interim coach in the wake of a shakeup that has claimed the jobs of Joe Paterno and other university leaders, said Thursday it will be a “game-time decision” whether McQueary will coach from the sideline or the press box against No. 19 Nebraska.
When asked if he felt McQueary should remain on Penn State’s staff, Bradley said, “That decision is up to (interim athletic director) Mark Sherburne.”
The board of trustees has asked that McQueary not coach from the sideline Saturday out of concern for his safety, the Morning Call of Allentown is reporting. The board does not intend to fire McQueary or ask him to resign, a source told the newspaper.
Bradley said he is replacing Paterno with a heavy heart. He will coach 12th-ranked Penn State through the end of the season as the Nittany Lions vie for the Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl berth with three regular-season games to go. Bradley played for Paterno and has been on the staff for 33 years, and has been considered the leading in-house candidate to replace his Hall of Fame boss.”
At a time when there has been decisions of college football programs to move from one conference to another, as well as the very challenging economic and social times the USA is going through, having a horrible, horrible sexual abuse crime ROCKED BIGTIME a major public university is simply going to give college football A GIANT BLACK EYE.\
