Coming Out To Support Gay Marriage

Coming Out To Support Gay Marriage

I had expected this was going to happen today.

President Barack Hussein Obama today comes out and makes it offical, he endorses Same gender or sex marriage.

This comes the day after the state of North Carolina citizens voted for the traditional marriage law yesterday and that new law won.

President Obama announced Wednesday he now supports same-sex marriage, becoming the first occupant of the White House to back the right of gay couples to wed.

Obama, who had come under fire from the left for not previously backing the important civil rights issue, said same-sex marriage “should be legal.”

“I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married,” Obama told ABC News.

The historic news heartened gay couples and their supporters, though Obama stopped short of calling for the federal government to legalize same-sex marriages.”

Currently, six states — including New York — as well as the District of Columbia recognize same-sex marriage. Meanwhile, 30 states have enacted bans on the practice, with North Carolina furthering that side of the divisive social issue by voting Tuesday night to define marriage as being strictly between a man and a woman.

What I see is a President who believes he has nothing to lose by going this route.
