Tragic Media Circus

Tragic Media Circus

Having been listening to all kinds of comments in the media, both old and new on the tragic death of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Florida high school student who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, who is a neighborhood watch captain, and with this tragic incident, the state of Florida‘s “stand your ground self-defense” law was also brought into question.

What is troubling is that this incident is now getting political and very divisive politics at that at a time not only in a USA Presidential election that is bound to become very, very heated but also brings up issues of race as well the old “race card” issues when it was more about the issues of crime and state laws.

What has been going on the last few days, with both the old news media and politicos jumping on this Trayvon Martin shooting death band wagon by using a very tragic incident instead of what should be going through the normal United States of America and state of Florida criminal justice system and not bring in either “politics” or “race card” hustilers who only see an opportunity to play up on divisions. Add to that the old news media facination with creating a media circus, it has gotten on in the Trayvon Martin shooting death case.

At a time when the real focus should be place on rebuilding the American economy as well as the need to rediscover positive American principles and values that have made the United States a GREAT COUNTRY, the LAST THING that this nation NEEDS is MORE DIVISIVE incidents such as what had taken place in Florida.

“The parents of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin met with U.S. Justice Department officials Thursday. They will also rally with civil rights activist Al Sharpton, who says ‘you can’t have a legal precedent where people apologize and walk away.’ (March 22)”

Oh Mr. Sharpton, by getting involved in this tragic incident simply gives credence to what I have been saying this this blog article that the Trayvon Martin case has become a “tragic media circus”.

President Obama, again it would have been better to let the criminal justice system work itself out in this case and have not inserted yourself into this incident for political gain.

At least the above writer makes an effort to go beyond the “offical old news media” news reporting.

This Is Why I Have Stopped Watching GOP Debates

This Is Why I Have Stopped Watching GOP Debates

Last night’s last debate in Florida, USA before the upcoming GOP/Republican primary in that state, it became very close to a free-for-all. Also being the 19th GOP/Republican debate, in a long line of debates it has also cause me to lose interest in them. Add to that is the big push to get Mitt Romney as the GOP frontrunner, it is also of no surprised that the other three GOP candidates, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul stepped up and took it to Mr. Romney.

The only one good thing about this most recent debate is that more and more Mr. Romney is being exposed as the RINO that he is. This I give Mr. Gingrich, Mr. Santorum, and Mr. Paul CREDIT FOR.

“An aggressive Mitt Romney repeatedly challenged Republican rival Newt Gingrich in a fast-paced campaign debate Thursday night just before a Florida primary that could be pivotal in the GOP presidential race. (Jan. 27)”

While Mr. Gingrich and Mr. Romney were slugging it out, Mr. Santorum did a three-points in a basketball sporting event effort to Mr. Romney in regards to the healthcare issue.

“Rick Santorum & Mitt Romney discuss Health Care, ObamaCare and RomneyCare.”

Ron Paul as always, is himself.

“Ron Paul challenged his GOP rivals to a 25-mile bike ride after debate moderator Wolf Blitzer asked about his age and health.”

Overall, as I have said in a previous blog posting, I would rather do an hour of try-outs for “American Idol” than to watch what has become so very unbearable to watch.

Newtbashingpoluzia

Today I thought I had come to a liberal anti-conservatives/GOP/Republican website when to my great surprised, it turned out to be the Drudge Report website and what I thought was a dedicated attack on GOP Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich from those who are in the GOP camp.

This comes as NO SURPRISE AT ALL. Since Mr. Gingrich’s recent rise in GOP/Republican primary voters support, the GOP “elites” have all of a sudden have gone into panic attack mode, seeing that the candidate they support, Mitt Romney is not getting any support from the primary voters. Even much more so, since Mr. Gingrich had won in South Carolina last weekend, the attacks have started to get even worse. A sure sign that the everyday Joe and Mary primary voters are saying to the GOP leadership that once and for all, stop shoving your choice of GOP frontrunner candidates down our throats please, that those who are in not only in leadership but also those who call themselves pundits are now having gone into political attack mode against Mr. Gingrich in order to try to derail his campaign.

It makes me wonder, why all the fear of Newt Gingrich and of his rise in GOP primary voters support?

I sense that it is because for once, just for once, the GOP grassroots could very well be saying, not just a demand to have no more RINOS as GOP Presidential frontrunners shoved down their throats, but also that for once, NOT TO WASTE THIS IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY to elect via primaries and caucuses a man who can express best not only what is frustrating these same primary and caucus voters, but also both the principles and ideas for resolving what is needs to be done for a nation that is struggling.

Now is NOT THE TIME for either those in positions of leadership in the GOP but also those who are pundits to be on the attack against Mr. Gingrich, rather it is time to take a stand on what has to be job #1, defeating President Barack Hussein Obama this coming November.

"GOP Pundits"
Are They Trying To Derail Newt Gingrich's campaign?

Highlights From Last Night’s Florida Debate

Last night’s GOP Republican debate in the state of Florida Showed WHY the time for GOP debates before state Republican primaries OUGHT TO END.

“Republican presidential contenders Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich clashed repeatedly in heated, personal terms Monday night in a crackling campaign debate in Tampa, Fla. (Jan. 23)”

With MANY THANKS To Both AP And YouTube. Watch Video Here:

“Touting his conservatism in a Republican debate in Florida Monday, Rick Santorum said there was no difference between President Obama and his opponents Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.”

“At a presidential debate in Florida Monday, candidate Ron Paul was asked whether or not he could support Newt Gingrich as the Republican nominee.”

Could Rep. Ron Paul support a Gingrich GOP run?

Even Newt got into faith-related matters:

“At a Republican presidential debate in Florida Monday, Newt Gingrich suggested that Cuban leader Fidel Castro would go to hell.”

No wonder Republican supporters view Mitt Romney as “weak”.

“At a Republican presidential debate in Florida Monday, Mitt Romney’s immigration plan for self deportation drew laughter from the audience.”

Is this the GOP elites want, Mitt Romney?

“Pressed on the release of his tax records at a presidential debate in Florida Monday, Mitt Romney said he would “not apologize for having been successful.”

No wonder I would rather watch one hour of “American Idol”, the auditions presentations right now than watch anymore GOP Republican debates.
