“CHICAGO (CBS)–William Balfour on Friday was found guilty of killing three members of singer Jennifer Hudson’s family in 2008.
The jury’s verdict was announced about 4:40 p.m. Friday. It came shortly after jurors told the court in a note Friday they were “split” on a verdict but would continue “trying” reach one. It was the third day of deliberations for the panel, which had been sequestered for deliberations in the high-profile trial.
Jennifer Hudson was present for the verdict with her fiance. Her eyes filled with tears as Balfour, her former brother-in-law, was convicted.”
